This course uses a series of examples to demonstrate how to use System Modeler and Wolfram Language as an integrated environment for modeling, simulating, analyzing and understanding system designs. This course is for those who are interested in a deeper understanding of how Wolfram System Modeler, Wolfram Language and Modelica work together.

Teacher: Jan Brugård

Jan Brugård is the CEO of Wolfram MathCore a subsidiary of Wolfram Research, one of the world’s most respected computer, web and cloud software companies—as well as a powerhouse of scientific and technical innovation. He is the co-founder of Wolfram MathCore and leads the Wolfram System Modeler development team.

He has a Master of Science degree in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering from Linköping University and is an experienced modeler and has spent several years modeling advanced engineering applications, primarily within the electrical and mechanical field, but also within life sciences and thermodynamics.

Analyzing Systems Using Wolfram Language and System Modeler

Using drag and drop from the large selection of built-in and expandable modeling libraries, you can build industrial strength, multidomain models of your complete system. Adding the power of the Wolfram Language gives you a fully integrated environment for analyzing, understanding and quickly iterating system designs.
Course Agenda

  • Introduction to Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Creating Your Own Models
  • lunch
  • Analysis with the Wolfram Language
  • + specific modeling areas depending on the audience, e.g. thermal, biological, digital circuits, thermofluid, business simulation
